Reliance Petroleum in conjunction with BP is pleased to be the major sponsor of the annual Victorian State Emergency Service regional Victorian Road Rescue Competition. This 2008 event was held on the 6th and 7th of December in Melbourne and brought together volunteers in a friendly environment to test their road rescue skills. This critical area of emergency response is a key factor in saving lives on our regional roads. Over the two days, teams of six volunteers from Regional Victoria were presented with a range of life like scenarios that required them to perform extrications. They were judged on their use of command, rescue techniques and medical intervention. 30 crushed cars later the Werribee CFA team was victorious, in taking first overall.
